G^h Class car prototype pictures

The Gh cars were purchased between 1908 and 1927 to transport large volume goods, like furniture. The high, trapeze cross section roof is a typical Hungarian solution, no freight cars in Germany or Austria were built with a similar shape roof. This picture was taken on March 8th 2003 in the yard of the Museum repair shop in Budapest Istvántelke.

The Gh-car from another view. This is the same car on the same location as on the previous photo, but the picture was taken 3 years later. Well visible, most car components are similar to those on the simple G-class boxcars. The grilles are the same, but now the doors are also equipped with one. The fittings and other accessories are similar, too. This made the maintenance easier.
